So after some time of running this PC, I’ve learned a few things about the status of AMD hardware and Linux. I’m not going to pretend to understand the complexities of it but I can say a few things just from my experience.

1st. Compatibility is pretty good. All the hardware works for the most part but my sensor readout from sensors is a bit lacking. No info on fans or voltages and just a few temp sensors. I haven’t done any benchmarks outside of what a game might do. I can see Cyberpunk 2077 will hit the GPU to it’s max potential and only when I tried to push it too far with some high level of ray tracing did it crash the game. I’ve since put the game at a acceptable graphics setting with ray tracing and can get around 70fps.

PC seems to be doing well. I’ve learned to leave the overclocking settings alone. Just isn’t a risk I need to take.

Computer works well. Currently dual-boots with CachyOS and Win11 Enterprise LTSC.

Primarily on Linux and ocasionally boots up Windows for game related tasks.
